Brand Essence
During our brand strategy session, we defined the many aspects of Codi's brand including her brand story, values, voice, mission, market fit, and so much more. Brand keywords are a great way to get to the "essence" of a brand. For Codi Real Estate, those keywords included:
Commitment
Experience
Driven
Care
Educated
Passion
Project Details
We provided Codi with a full suite of branding and design:
Below is the curated imagery, or mood board, that inspired the design direction.
Behind the Design
Codi had a vision for her rebrand that involved stepping into a look that is very simple and classy. The script font for the name Codi in the logo has been customized for a unique look. It visually stands at a crossroads between elegant and refined and hand written with a human touch, while still maintaining legibility. The script font was paired
with a clean and straightforward sans serif font to balance out the overall look
of the logo.
The date was added as an optional element to show that Codi Real Estate is an
established business with nearly a decade of experience.
A variety of logo lock ups and a custom brand mark that incorporates Codi's initials were created to give the brand depth, and provide layout and size options to fit the many different environments in which Codi’s brand will be viewed in web, print, or other.
Brand Patterns
We created a custom brand pattern for the Codi Real Estate brand by utilizing the house shape from her brandmark in a repeating and overlapping repeating pattern. Patterns are great as an accent design element for stationery, websites and even social media graphics.
Brand Colors
The color palette for Codi's brand is bold and neutral. She wanted her clients homes to be the star of the show so opted for a palette that will be complimentary and not clash with any homes or interior home photos that she will be promoting for her buyers and sellers. The primary color is black with neutral shades of oatmeal, ivory and latte being used as secondary accent colors within the brand.
During the brand strategy phase, I always research the psychology behind the colors to make sure that the impact they will have on our emotions aligns with how we want to impact and connect with the business's target audience. I study individual colors as well as how they interact with each other as a whole to determine a palette that has depth and meaning and stirs up feelings that perfectly align with the brand.
Black: refined, strong
Oatmeal: relaxed, warm
Latte: comforting, mindful
Ivory: simplicity, calm
Branding Beyond the Logo
Once the logos and all visual elements were established, we created a variety of collateral pieces to ensure a consistent experience anytime someone sees or interacts with the Codi Real Estate brand.
"Highly recommend Branch Creative Co.! I was needing a long overdue brand refresh and Melissa accomplished that and more. She captured every detail about who/what my business is centered around through the brand strategy session. She also ensured it would stand the test of time with its elements and simplicity. I love my new logo, the colors, signs, etc. and want to put it on everything marketing! Thank you Melissa!" -Codi Nincehelser
