
The Before & After
If I were a coach looking to make an immediate impact on my brand, here's one thing I would do right now: define my client's transformation.
Try this simple before-and-after exercise:
Grab a pen and paper.
Create two columns and label them "Before" and "After."
Use these columns to describe your clients before and after working with you. Here are some questions to get you started:
What are their struggles and pain points?
How do they feel?
What are their typical daily tasks?
How do they describe or see themselves?
Once you've filled in both columns, use this information to create branded content—such as social posts, videos, emails, or blog posts—that speaks directly to your audience's hearts. This will help them connect with you and feel confident that you truly get them.
Pro Tip: Struggling to define your client's before-and-after transformation? Reach out to past clients and ask them! Consider sending a coffee gift card as a thank-you for their time.
