What makes you ā€œthe onlyā€?

Ā

When working with clients to build their brands, we focus on what sets them apart from others offering similar services. What makes you different? What is your unique advantageā€”your "secret sauce"? What makes you ā€œthe onlyā€?

Ā

In his book Zag, Marty Neumeier says, ā€œIf you can't say you're the 'only,' then go back and start over."

Ā

To get started, try filling in the blanks:

(Your business name) is the only (your business category) that (the unique thing only you offer).

Ā

Example:

Paws World Travel is the only international travel agency that specializes in finding the best dog-friendly travel destinations.

Ā

This exercise is very simple, yet can be equally challenging. Knowing what makes you truly unique will help your brand shine and provide the clarity needed to stand out.
